Kendall Jenner was warned not all models would "dig her" before she began her career. The 19-year-old star is riding high at the moment, having walked for the likes of Michael Kors, Fendi and Giles Deacon during the recent spate of Fashion Weeks. There have been constant rumours that some models have bullied her over the last couple of years, but Kendall has brushed them aside in a new interview.
"No. Everyone backstage has been really, really nice to me, which I am very happy about," she told British magazine Hello! "I was warned that some people might just not dig me but everybody has been so nice to me. I have made some great friends." This comes after model Lexi Boling apologised for making nasty comments about Kendall on social media. Vogue Germany posted a picture of the reality star on Instagram prompting Lexi to remark she had "never looked better" alongside a crying with laughter emoticon. Fellow model Binx Walton then added the image was "f**ked up", although the comments were later deleted.
It seems Kendall prefers to focus on the positives, including the designer she says kicked things off for her. "Marc Jacobs was the first one to take a chance on me and that was probably everything that I could ask for. I am very, very grateful to him for giving me that chance because a lot of people wouldn't," she explained.
She also praised Karl Lagerfeld for allowing her to walk for Chanel, explaining that has always been one of her dreams. Although her heart was "pounding" as she hit the catwalk, it's a moment she will never forget.
Kendall is getting a lot of love from the industry at the moment, with Love magazine's Katie Grand recently claiming she is the biggest model around.
