The pop star's former neighbour Jeffrey Schwartz is claiming Bieber spat on him during a discussion nearly two years ago.
Schwartz and his wife are seeking unspecified damages in excess of $25,000 (around £16,950) at Los Angeles Superior Court. The lawsuit, which claims the Canadian singer, 21, spat in Mr Schwartz's face during an argument over him driving too fast around their Calabasas estate.
Claim:
Jeffrey Schwartz claims the singer spat at him Bieber moved out of the area after throwing eggs at the couple's' home, causing roughly $80,000 (£54,245) worth of damage.
He remains on probation after being charged with vandalism., and has repaid the family restitution for the damage he caused to their home. Mr and Mrs Schwartz also claim Bieber caused them emotional distress because of loud parties and dangerous driving in their neighbourhood.
